Nigerians Are Scared Of Yemoja But Love Little Mermaid. They Say Sango Is Evil, But Thor Is Their Hero.

Nigerians are scared of Yemoja but love Little Mermaid. They say Sango is evil, but Thor is their Hero. They adore storm but don't want anything to do with Oya or Amadioha. They are in love with Aquaman but hate Olokun and Osun. We have been brainwashed to hate ourselves and love our en-slavers.

Nigerians Are Scared Of Yemoja But Love Little Mermaid. They Say Sango Is Evil, But Thor Is Their Hero.

This encapsulates what our lives are about in Africa, yet we cry that Oyinbo people don't respect us. To the majority, charity doesn't begin at home. Nothing else excites us as much as foreign traditions and cultures.

Colonialism eradicated us to the point where we'd give anything to become their slaves again. We love their foods, clothes, and lifestyles. Pack ships at Apapa Port right now and ask Nigerians to board them without visas en route to Europe and America; there's hardly anyone left behind.

None would ask what they'd be doing to survive when they reach their new destinations. As long as it's not Nigeria, anywhere else would do. When they finally berth, they'd discover that the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence. The African pride is no longer what it used to be. Our naive youths and adults who ought to know that charity begins at home see nothing wrong in abusing their fatherland.

Fela Kuti tried to liberate us Africans through his music, but we never listened.

Nigerians Are Scared Of Yemoja But Love Little Mermaid. They Say Sango Is Evil, But Thor Is Their Hero.

“I realized that you cannot think European and want to write or create something African. You have to think African in everything.”

“The African mind has a lot to contribute, not only to world understanding of the arts but to an understanding of spiritualism. That is the contribution Africa will make to the world of the future—an injection of sanity into the universe's environment.”

--Fela Kuti

They proudly call home a zoo. It is no more the home our fathers fought for yet; we do not want to fight for home and elect good leaders to fix it. We do not want to fix it, just like our fathers fought wars and battles to fix it. We sell our votes and look for the quickest exist to leave the so-called Zoo. Where are the warrior men and women we are supposed to be? Are we not supposed to be descendants of Sango: The Legendary African King and the thunder God? Are we now affected by the indomie we eat as breakfast and dinner instead of good Pounded Yam and egusi soup, or is it because we cannot afford to eat fufu and goat meat anymore in the zoo?

It's nauseating when you see our people dancing like idiots as soon as they're given visas to places such as India, Bangladesh, Cambodia, the Philippines, Vietnam, etc. In Nigeria, multitudes of our patently ignorant compatriots see Ghana, Libya, Senegal, and Cote D'Ivoire as 'abroad' until they arrive to see that their own country is much more blessed. Our young beautiful, educated girls are packed like sardines in buses to morbid places like Mali to do prostitution, and that's because the girls themselves think they're migrating to a better place.

Ignorance is a disease that Africans believe the Middle Eastern religions would save them from their imaginary hell. It's the irony of the past two centuries to think you're safe from the so-called Devil if you're Christian or Muslim. In their beliefs, they deceive themselves that the Man upstairs would destroy the Chinese and Indians for not being Christian or Muslim even though they constitute half the world's population. Yet the Man upstairs tells them in their Bible that He is Jealous, wouldn't kill anyone, and even sent His son to be killed instead. Just imagine that for a second: God wiping out 3.5bn Chinese and Indians from the face of the Earth because they practice Hinduism and Buddhism.

That precisely the beliefs are of Christianity and Islam. In this misconception, even Jesus people who practice Judaism aren't safe. Another more significant misconception: Muslims pity Christians for practicing the wrong religion and vice versa. It's comical. The practitioners pity the traditionalists for practicing the false beliefs until they want instant revenge, which they believe would only come from the traditionalists. What a bunch of confusion and arrant neophytes. When you run away from your father's house, who'd take care of it in your absence?

Where would desperate Africans be migrating to in the last three decades if Americans and Europeans had abandoned their land? To be respected by others, you've got to respect yourself first. Otherwise, you'd always be used as a beast of burden and treated as a pariah. You can't be running away from your land and expect foreigners to hold you in high esteem.

Home is a zoo! It's a land for the fittest and the wise. One idiot got to Canada a few days ago and was jubilating as if he just won a million dollar jackpot. Unknown to him, he is about to learn how to live in a society that works. Well, no one will tell him that your first enemy in Canada is the atrocious bone-freezing weather compared to the tropical sun of West Africa. Soon he will learn to pay tax for every money he gives or receives because a society that works needs a sustaining economy not depended on oil, bribes and nepotism. And that religion is personal and no one care if you are saved or unsaved by Jesus.

Be proud of your race, land, and whatever god you worship. Stop casting aspersions on what's yours and expecting to gain respect from others. It's the wisest thing to do. Fight for change, fight for a working solution, and vote with mind and body, and soul. Let's create a nation where the best reasons will stay and be successful. The best minds will have hope and an opportunity to be whoever they choose. The poor will have a chance that the rich can invest in their future and intelligent mind. Let's fix our zoo and make it a paradise.

Even Jesus, who can be argued with biblical facts to be among the original Igbo men, who share the same complexion with Ethiopians and even healed a blind black man with mud just like a priest of the Edo people, is still depicted as white-skinned with blue eyes, and the devil is described as a black man.

In great Fela Kuti's voice - Black Man's Cry.

they told us our culture and traditions are evil, and they replaced it with a book they don’t even use and put our continent backward… Africans might never regain consciousness from the love of our enslavers….some are still saying Jesus is the way, and they don’t know the color of what Jesus looks like 😂😂😂

Also, Maybe if we portrayed ours as lovely and unique gods and not always gods of wrath and punishment.. maybe our people for like them 😂😂😂😂 Because unlike their Nigerian counterparts, Thor, Aquaman, Storm, and the likes fight for justice. They don't kill innocent people or use their power for intimidation and wickedness.

Sango is our forefather. Nobody hates him. We adore him. We are ready to fix Nigeria and Africa at large that is why we will be voting for Peter Obi

It's because the West portrayed those foreign gods in a friendly, joking, and exciting manner via movies, but our local Nollywood made us understand that our local gods are not one to mess with. Mess with our gods at your own risk.

In the same way, we have Ogun, Amadioha, and co. In movies, where they are fighting for villagers in one way or the other.. everything no supposes to be an issue. The person that said that might not visit their village before but will come online and rararara!😂 😂 😂 SANGO can make you dance SANKO in the market 🙆🏾‍♂️😆😆😆

Are we brainwashed to hate ourselves? What's stopping us from creating our fictional superheroes? Our enslavers left us to handle ourselves and look at how our country is. Not just Nigeria, most African countries are filled with corrupt leaders with no sense of patriotism.

But really? Imagine comparing movie superheroes to spirits(traditional gods).. everybody is claiming woke up online; please rest. Stop comparing real gods with fictional characters.

Who dem born well look into the eyes of Sango if not another goddess like Oya.

They should portray them as more attractive than those who want to identify with poor-looking gods that are always angry and causing harm. Their priest is always poor and dirty. It's not about race; it's how they are perceived and viewed. I mean, look at Thor and Zeus, the wealth they portray, the strength and handsomeness, but look at a Nigerian film where the gods are always shown in one dirty mud house looking for blood to spill common 🙌

Oh, please. How busy do people see Thor as your problem in this life? So this is what you are paid to do at your job? Think up useless ideas and write without reason? This one don chop bellyful and has time to be postulating on useless matters like what people think of Thor online. He is still being fed, clothed, and housed by his parents for trivialities consuming his mind so much that he feels the need to tweet. I'm sure he thinks that he has written something profound in his utter smug cluelessness. Even I see myself wasting my breath and time attending to his useless tweet. Sheesh!!

Common shut up your mouth. There is one only true God. And that is God Almighty. Creator of heaven and earth.
