Governor Adegboyega Oyetola Of Osun On Friday Asked The Election Tribunal In Osogbo To Nullify The Election Of The Governorship Candidate Of The PDP, Ademola Adeleke.

Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State on Friday asked the Election Petition Tribunal in Osogbo to nullify the election of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ademola Adeleke. According to the governor, the election was fraught with certain irregularities. He also said that Adeleke ought not to have been declared winner as he was not qualified to have contested the election in the first place, having submitted forged certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commision. Saturday PUNCH reported that Adeleke was returned elected by the INEC, after defeating his closest challenger, Oyetola, and 13 other candidates, scoring a total of 403, 371 Oyetola got 375, 027 votes and won in 13 Local Government Areas of the state to come second in the election. Adegoke said the election in many 749 polling units were fraught with irregularities. The legal team, he said, have established by the petition that the election in those 749 polling units across 10 Local Governments in Osun State was characterized by irregularities pertaining to over voting. Adegoke said, “We have nothing less than 50 lawyers, including 10 SANs that we cannot list all of them, so we have listed about 20 lawyers in the petition. We have 13 reliefs. What we are contesting is that the election is fraught with certain irregularities by which the person declared winner ought not to have been declared and the petitioner, Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola ought to have been declared the winner on the ground that Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke was not qualified to have contested the election in the first place, having submitted forged certificate to INEC.

What the majority of APC members and their Party agents at the Unit level don't know, according to the newly amended electoral law 2022, is that:

Governor Adegboyega Oyetola Of Osun On Friday Asked The Election Tribunal In Osogbo To Nullify The Election Of The Governorship Candidate Of The PDP, Ademola Adeleke.

Any result signed and uploaded to the INEC Server in the presence of Party agent, and later challenged at Tribunal for misconduct, such Party agent shall be Sentence to Jail of 3 - 5years with no good options.

Governor Adegboyega Oyetola Of Osun On Friday Asked The Election Tribunal In Osogbo To Nullify The Election Of The Governorship Candidate Of The PDP, Ademola Adeleke.

With this, my questions are:

1. Does Governor Oyetola want to send some of his Party members who serve as Partagentsnt for his election to Jail, or does he not know what electoral law says about it?

2. Does their Party agent know that they are representing the image of their Party and Party Candidate at their various Unit?

This Petition already died before its arrival.

#OSUN: THE MAGIC THAT ENDS APC

The APC, from top to bottom, is known for electoral fraud. The party can never win credibly in any part of the country without perpetrating evil. In the build-up to the last Osun guber held on July 16, the party's leadership was boasting, fuming muscle, that the election was already a walkover for them even before the election.

The election was free, fair, and credible. The electoral umpire declared the PDP and her candidate, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the election's winner. The whole Osun as a State was happy, and there was jubilation at every nook and cranny of the State. The electoral observers across the board commended the INEC and the security agencies for the job well done.

Congratulatory messages began to flow everywhere to the Governor-elect and the PDP. Even though the outgoing defeated governor refused to congratulate the winner, nobody cared about him. The APC/Oyetola began the process of filing petitions to the tribunal, and the 1240 pages petition was finally submitted yesterday, where the APC prayed to the court to nullify invalid results of 749 pooling units spread across 10 LGs where the PDP won premise on overvoting.

Several reactions have so far begun to generate as people believe that with the use of BVAS machine for the election, there can't be anywhere over voting would have been possible. However, the party agents in those units were present on the day and signed after the election, and there was no news of challenge or uproar at the collation centers across the board. The question bothering my mind now is, "how did the APC come about the thought of canceling the results of the 749 polling units on which her petition is premised"?.

In the petition, Governor Oyetola claims the winner, Governor-elect Senator Ademola Adeleke submitted a forged certificate to the INEC to participate in the election. What a talk, what a ruse. The defeated governor Oyetola forgot to realize this is 2022, not 2018. He fails to recognize that the earlier he emerges from his cubicle of defeat where he's hiding, the better.

As a political analyst, I understand that the defeated outgoing governor knows there are still elections next year in February, especially that of the presidential where his uncle, who imposed him on Osun in 2018, is the presidential candidate of the failed APC. He and his co-travelers are trying to apply the tribunal tactic to hold and pin down the gullible party members to gamer votes next year. Lolz

The fact remains the good people of Osun had spoken through the ballot on July 16, and there's nothing anybody born of a woman can do to steal their mandate this time around like that of 2018. The good people of Osun won't be friends with anyone who tries nonsense this time in the order joyfully jointly given to the Governor-elect and the PDP.

The magic that broke the backbone of the defeated governor and his disjointed, scattered broom APC is the newly signed electoral act and the BVAS machine, which, to a reasonable extent, curbs electoral fraud during elections. As of now, I'm sure the leadership of the APC will be seriously frowned at by Buhari for signing the electoral act. Moreover, the leadership of the APC, if allowed, will not be happy seeing the INEC talking about using the magical BVAS machine for future elections again.

As far as Osun State is concerned, APC has lule, and may we never hear anything called APC again till thy kingdom come. The outgoing and defeated governor should realize every kobo spent during his reign would be accounted for by the time we assume office come November by God's grace.

Abo oro laaso f'Omoluabi o. Ok.....bye!

He went to obtain a degree in the USA immediately after the 2018 election; do you think he will be stupid enough not to present that degree he just obtained but rather present a controversial certificate?

Besides, the forgery case is still a pre-election matter which isn't within the jurisdiction of the Election Tribunal. So the forgery case will be thrown into the bin by the tribunal. So the only case Oyetola has is the other case of election irregularities he alleged which he must prove.

There is no reason to instill fear about this case as you want people to see it.

Oyetola is more likely to lose than for Adeleke to lose.
