Women In Yenogoa, The Capital City Of Bayelsa State, Came Out In Their Numbers This Morning To Stage A Protest Over The Refusal Of Traders And Transporters To Accept The Old Naira Notes.

The women blocked the major Melford Okilo road while chanting various slogans stating how they had been frustrated and going through hell over the refusal by traders and transporters in the city to accept the old naira notes despite the order given by the Supreme Court. Recall that on March 3, the Supreme Court extended the validity of the N200, N500, and N1,000 Naira notes till December 31. A seven-member court panel led by John Okoro unanimously directed that the CBN must continue to receive the old notes from Nigerians. The court also held that the directive of President Buhari to redesign the new notes and withdraw the old notes without due consultation was invalid. Despite the Supreme court ruling, the Central Bank of Nigeria is yet to give a directive for Nigerians to start spending the old notes. Most Nigerians need access to the old notes as many banks are not dispensing any Naira notes, whether old or new.

This Nigeria democracy is just camouflage, we cannot exercise our rights, we cannot have free and fair election, Court talk president refuse just like in the military era yet Osibanjo can't overthrow Buhari. Shame on y'all all who sit on public fund living luxurious lifestyle with your family while masses are dying of hunger. Banks give you old Naira that you can't spend and if you come back redeposit it they will reject it and we have government. You make transfer it will hang, POS charges 30-40%. Prime minister resigned in UK because she used her personal email to send official message but incompetent people are making laws in Nigeria.

Say no to 2nd term for any political office holder. Most 2nd terms come with untold hardship, suffering and inhuman policies. No same politician would come up with bad policy when he wants your vote, until you give them access to 2nd term, they start to misbehave knowing fully that, that is end of the road for that seat. Say NO TO 2ND TERM ❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌🚫🚫🚫🚫

Why is it so hard for buhari to come out and talk to people and ask them to continuing spending the old naira as Supreme Court ruled. Maybe people would’ve had no issue spending it as Supreme Court instructed if this same Buhari did not come out that time to said only two hundred naira note should be legal tender against the Supreme Court ruled.
