it happened to me when I was in Nigeria, six months after I lost my banking job, police came looking for me that there was a petition that I do not have any known job but pays my rent and used my generator all the time. It was during IPOB vengeance on police stations, I paid them 50k to avoid becoming an IPOB member over night and being imprisoned.
