Dear Lord, We Will Never Understand Why You Would Give Us A Blessing And Allow The Devil To Take It So Quickly - AY Makun Writes.

Comedian, AY Makun has written an open letter to God in which he stated that humans would never understand why the Almighty will give them a blessing and allow the devil to take it so quickly.

He shared the post as the world grieves the unfortunate loss of Nigerian singer, Davido's son, Ifeanyi, who drowned at his father's home.

"Dear Lord, we will never understand why you would give us a blessing and allow the devil to take it so quickly. No parents want to outlive their children, and it's not fair on the few good people who do a lot to help others keep their children alive by giving them hope for a better tomorrow.

This loss affects so many people. How do we even encourage them to move on? How can we ever trust caregivers with our children when we remember the painful circumstances surrounding that innocent child's death? We all want to ask for forgiveness and continue to glorify you, even in our pain. You sincerely need to show Yourself to the parents and protect them from bitterness. Please give them a new purpose for living and a way to honor their child's life. Give them the courage to trust you, hope, and love again. Protect them from living in fear and paranoia. Judging by the things you have blessed us with, we know you are good and do good. Protect us from evil people as we give you this tragedy to redeem in Jesus's name. Amen!" AY wrote

😭 God, the pain is too much ooo 😭 Ifeanyi has a multitude of families all over the world. Seeing and watching his hyperactive nature gives us joy. This is a bitter pill to swallow. Chioma nnem, ndo ooo πŸ˜πŸ’”

Well said, AY...but sadly, we can not question God when he allows one of his own to depart this sinful world. My heart bleeds for Chioma.

Foolish talk from a man who should know better. Did God put Ifeanyi in the pool? He just had to show he was grieving by blaming his "house boy," abi? Rubbish

It is pure NEGLIGENCE! God is not responsible for not always keeping an eye on the child. Davido and Chioma be comfortable, and lessons must be learned for all. Can we adults stop with all these swimming pools?

But unfortunately, God doesn't take back the good thing he gave to His people. Either we lost it through negligence, carelessness or allowed the devil to play the fast one on God's people.

😒😒Amen

Nigeria, everything is the devil. Never take responsibility for our actions. It is called cause and effect. God gave us an irrational mind to think about the consequences of our actions before embarking on them. It's called intuition.

Others have lost 3 or 4 kids in one day. You have never written an open letter to share their pain, but you'd write because it's Davido. Please stop with all this pretense. Those other people are humans too. RIP, Ifeanyi..only God knows why this happened. Chioma, please accept our deepest sympathy.

If God said NO, can the devil (assuming he is the one that takes souls) take him? Children are his heritage, Psa. 127:3. Also, 1 Kings 2: 6-9 Are you still blaming the devil? Isa 45: 7-9, do you still think the devil that we have all assumed to be powerless can take what belongs to an all-powerful and almighty God?

It's heartbreaking πŸ’”. All I feel right now is pain, grief, and sorrow... 😒πŸ˜₯

God doesn't give blessings and take them away so soon expect the person's ways aren't right with the Lord or eventually deviate from the ways of the Lord ..............

EVERY GOOD THING COMES FROM THE LORD, AND WE NEED TO BE SPIRITUALLY ALERT THROUGH PRAYERS TO CANCEL OUT THE DEVICES AND PLANS OF THE WICKED/DEVIL. GOD HAS A ROLE TO PRAY, AND HUMAN BEINGS (WE )HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY. GOD IS STILL FAITHFUL AND REMAINS FAITHFUL.

People should stop exhibiting ignorance of Job. God has no pleasure in taking away what He has given. It is written that the blessings of God make them rich, and no sorrow comes with it. God gives without repentance. There is a shadow behind the walls. Something is going on that only the Devil and David know

It's our carelessness and nonchalant. Where were the maids that kept the baby in their custody? The boy probably suffered for a few mins before giving up. Chai. Sometimes we don't need to ask God silly questions.

It is because we are not responsible. The faith that makes God accountable for every issue is irresponsible. Faith is simply sharing responsibility with God in the face of the scripture. Sometimes we neglect what we suppose to do to God after God has equipped us to do it. I imagine what would have happened to Moses if he had kept crying to God at the red sea after God had told him to stretch the rod over the sea.

The Sovereignty of God is undoubted without question! However, it is not always the devil! Faith that makes God responsible for our actions and inactions is irresponsible! We, as humans, make mistakes. Sometimes from sheer carelessness and negligence, the devil is not involved! Nobody will tell you they had a nudging not to go out on the day they ran into robbers or had an accident, but people get to the crime scene and still start shouting God, why? They were fantastic Xtian who served you with all their might! May God will prevail over our lives!

No brother. God gave, and the devil took. The devil took the boy due to someone's carelessness. Someone wasn't watching when the boy fell into the pool. This is most unfortunate. Someone wasn't doing his job, so we blamed God. How sad! The Lord Jesus comfort David and Chioma in these trying times

You guys shldnt bring God into this!

First, It should be the law to have a fence around a swimming pool as it is in some countries. Second, every household with an infant or toddler less than ten must have at least one CPR-qualified individual. Third, in some countries, every security guard must be trained in CPR. If the child had been administered CPR, maybe he might have lived. Taking a downed child to a hospital some distance away for first aid is very primitive! So, if you do not know CPR, learn it because you never know when it will come in handy!! RIP, little Angel. May God console David and Chioma Adeleke!!

God created the devil for a reason. Probably a sadistic sense.

Davido knew the days of his son were closer coming to an end. He brought Chioma back to lavish her with love and attention, feeling guilty and wrong to what this will do to her.
