Bolanle Raheem's Husband Gives A Chilling Account Of How A Lagos Policeman Murdered Her.

Gbenga Raheem, the husband of a female lawyer, Omobolanle, was shot dead by an Assistant Superintendent of Police, Drambi Vandi, in the Ajah area of Lagos state on Christmas day, December 25. He has given a chilling account of how his seven-month-pregnant wife was murdered.
Bolanle had left an eatery and was driving with family members, including her daughter. The police officer fired at her car, killing her on the spot.
Narrating the ugly incident, the victim's husband, Gbenga, said;
"On December 25, my wife, nieces, nephews, and cousins, who had come for a holiday, all went to church. On our way back, my wife said since it was Christmas Day, we should take everyone out, so we went to a supermarket at Abraham Adesanya, then to Domino's Pizza.
Afterward, we headed towards Ajah to do a U-turn to return to Abraham Adesanya. When we took the U-turn, we saw police officers stopping some vehicles. As we approached them, they said we should stop, and in the process, we heard a loud sound on my wife's side window. All of a sudden, I saw blood gushing out of her chest.
I immediately ran out; my sister-in-law, who was also with us, ran out and held the policeman; he cocked his gun at her too. Talking to him was pointless, so I went to see if there was anything I could do. I saw my wife gasping for breath, and by that time, my sister-in-law had brought the policeman into the car and pushed him into the front seat.
We drove to a hospital, but they said they couldn't handle it. We eventually took her to Grandville Hospital, where she was confirmed dead. The policemen took her body and put it in the truck; they wanted me to follow them, but I said I needed to go and settle my children." he said.
The erring officer, identified as Drambi Vandi, attached to the Ajiwe Police Station, Ajah, Lagos State, is said to have spent 33 years in the police force. He and two other officers have been arrested and detained over the killing.

What the hell??? Was it an accidental discharge or what? These policemen are so careless with their weapons. The police needs to tell the public how exactly this happened. And it is a shame that the first hospital they took her to said they couldn't handle it. What the hell are they doing in the hospital business?

This life is more spiritual than physical; something must have gone wrong in the spiritual realm. Her soul was exchange for someone else's own. One fact remains clear!! She did nothing wrong, the police man himself can't tell what happened; wherever he is now he would be marveled at what happened. Think this! How would a police man just shoot for no reason?. Well whatever or whoever we are worshiping, pls hold and worship more spiritually. Cos most of us are too carnal.. a carnal person can never understand the things of the spirit. A normal person would wake up and think of suicide, someone would just fall down and die for no reason, no health challenges. Who else agree with me that since we started having too many churches in Nigeria, the death became too much.
When a pastor Tells you to abandon your forefathers, then ur forefathers will abandon you. Acknowledge, remember, pray to ur forefathers so they will fight for u in the spiritual realm!!!!! St Paul, st Peter, st Andrew, st this and St that are people's forefathers not urs ... U abandoned ur forefathers but u can bear their surnames, u can inherit their properties right??? Well my point is this this lady died a horrible death, and it was manipulated in the spiritual realm. May your head never be used as sacrifice for another person to live.

Driving a dying woman from one hospital to another yet, none could save her. That’s to show you how f*cked up our health institutions are 💔

When someone is shot in the chest, first thing to do is, seal that opening to stop the blood flow. Talk to the person to make sure they are responsive, if not responsive, carry out CPR . Meanwhile make sure help is coming or drive up to the hospital after sealing the wounds for proper medical care
Actually these are first aid everyone needed to know regardless of your status. I see a lot situations where people let humans bleed out from stabbing and more, when they should have done something. So I was wondering what the husband was doing at that point when he saw blood gushing out of his wife 😢

That was how a police man was pointing his gun at me sometime last week. They never ask me to stop, as I was driving to make a U-turn, the guy just point his gun. I have to tell him to take his gun off me that the joke is too expensive. So unprofessional.
how can you give a job to someone who doesn’t know the job, what do you expect? A1 or F9

Living in Nigeria is a death trap. Imagine a mother, wife, unarmed and just taking her family out for Christmas getting killed by the same people meant to be protecting her. Nigeria is a wicked, lawless society and beyond saving. Can’t imagine how the husband and everyone in the car are feeling right now.. the grief and trauma will last forever 💔💔

Bolanle Raheem's death is heartbreaking, sadly she's not the first victim; Tragic incidents like this can be avoided but it keeps reoccurring cos there are lots of incompetent uniform officers in Nigeria & they're barely held accountable for their actions. RIP to the deceased.

We also need to up our game in Accident and Emergency unit. The hospital that couldn't handle it should have administered first aid. So many deaths are avoidable and these police officers should be keeled too. Maybe they will stop if they know the consequences

There's nothing like accidental discharge ... It's take quite a number of steps to fire a projectile.
U mean, the officer doesn't know his selector is open and theres bullet in the chamber? Or he didn't know but aimed and pulled the trigger? Pls let's be guided in what we say cos this victim could be any of us or our siblings (God forbid)

A negligent discharge (ND) is a discharge of a firearm involving culpable carelessness. In judicial and military technical terms, a negligent discharge is a chargeable offence. A number of armed forces automatically consider any accidental discharge to be negligent discharge, under the assumption that a trained soldier has control of his firearm at all times. This is the case in the United States Army,[5] Canadian Army, the Royal Air Force, the British Army and various Police Forces within the United Kingdom.
From an article on a U.S. Air Force website:
A negligent discharge occurs when a weapon is fired due to either operator error or a lack of attention to basic safety rules.

If it was an unintentional discharge, he is still culpable because he should be trained to use his weapon without endangering the lives of innocent people. He needs to pay the price for killing this woman. The police need to explain to us how this happened
