2 armed police stormed our apartment early hour b/w 3:am to 3:30am Have no idea how they got in the living room, one came directly to our bedroom. Told hubby they are on random search. Hubby demanded for privacy, slapped his Face for talking, and took him to their station with couples of other men in the compound. Before we could get there, they already lock them up. I walk straight to the DPO asking why the humiliation? He said they are on patrol, how does that concerns us and the slapped. He advised I should find something for Boys and hubby will be fine. I weep for my country.

We can't be surprised now when police are comfortable checking people's phones. How would they know the limit to citizens' personal properties and life? With their silly mindset, nothing private stays private. Still, Many Nigerians have indulged them too far and given them the confidence and undeserved authority to impose nonsense on them—some out of fear and staying out of 'wahala.'

There was a time I changed it for officers that wanted to check my phone. I stood my ground and claimed my right and how ridiculous it was for them to stop me on the road and demand they see my phone. Some of them were like, even those that study law and know law pass me wouldn't drag their phones with them. That's bullshit, man, that they allow you to trample on them all for the sake of your uniform, and staying out of trouble doesn't mean I would be so stupid to give you, a stranger, my item, being without any charges against me. They eventually allowed me to go jejely.

It's so hard to be NIGERIAN. No be everyone get mind like that. Some people just wan go about their day jejely without changing am for anyone or getting wahala.

Abuja Police too dey craze sometimes.

bro I was illegally arrested in Abj Wednesday by cash and Carry jahi, my offense is that I’m coming from Dawaki to jahi to get food at the amala place. He said is there no restaurant in Dawaki, small time he said why would I have tattoos in my hand then I got a little Angry because the questions were just rubbish , before I know it he said I might be cultist, bro I just called my lawyer to come and I was taken to their station abattoir na from outside they settle the matter told me I must pay for being rude, and they keep insisting they want to check my phone I refused. I shall pay 20k from 1m they asked me to pay .they had guns .

Broad day light in the capital, but I called their boss I know through my lawyer and I gave him their names, he intend to deal with them. I just hope he did though cos he was very furious I was violated.

I'm sorry for what happened to you bro, but its very rare. Maybe they noticed fear in your eyes, that's why they capitalized on it. But trust me, you wouldn't have given them a dime. Why would your lawer allow you to pay when you are 100% innocent. It's a pity how corrupt and bad our police officers has become, i pray their boss do the right thing

Honestly I won’t pay, I will rather ask him to take me to court

Them go just kill you throway and nobody go know your whereabouts😂😂😂. It is better you allow them do their thing, leave the station, come online and drag them

ntil you see they are charging you for murder and all framed up. Judge remands you in prison and justice system goes on strike. 4 months in prison awaiting trial. Some are languishing in prison for crimes they didn’t commit. It won’t be our portion o

Try not to spend the night in a police cell when nobody knows your whereabouts. Your life and body is precious, no take am play. That particular police station and the one near Stadium have very bad reputation.

How can reasonable human beings with working brains that claim to be trained law officers engage in such shameful, unruly, and brutal acts? Even the dumbest of the illiterates roaming the streets of Lagos, with Owo da slogan can not be so daft

LagosLast activity 3 months ago

This same Adeniji Adele I was arrested many years ago for having a BSc certificate from OAU which they claimed to be fake as they can identify the original from sight. I had it with me as I was coming from an interview.

Nigérians una try Ask gouvernement how much they Pay your police BC this indiscipliné is too much,in Cameroun a ,country poorer than Nigeria, police dey fear civilian sef because least error they will remove you that uniforme, but again they are well paid thougj

For those of nigerians living in Nigeria wen no get sense, make una vote wisely o

So you called the DPO, he still gets the face, shame no catch to dey ask you whether na Adeniji them carry una go. Police-what a disgrace they are to their generation. See, I have said this before and am saying it now and probably continue until there is a visible change in that useless system. I will never be convinced that the so-called demoting or dismissal of the police force claims the vent on erred police officers is true. Cause how do they continue committing these atrocities if of, truth some serve severe punishment for all the inhuman behaviors of them

LagosLast activity 3 months ago

Think CCTV should be in all police stations, this makes me hate them more. When I say am done,am done this country we need better revolution, depression is are the highest of it crimes is increasingly daily is not joke anymore

I no dey support police but they were right I was there….. they were shouting about sex toy and weed and crusher and all found in your bag …. Yes or yes

LagosLast activity 3 months ago

It’s time we start using sense to outsmart these thieves in uniform… no more giving cooperation when u know it’s nonsense they are doing. There’s supposed to be a hotline to report these ppl on the spot there start threatening them like they threaten u..majority of them don’t even know the laws and legalities of Nigeria let alone their job duties it’s time we forcefully educate these ignorant bunch

it's this fear that is their weapon. I have dealt with the Nigerian police before. In Abuja. Nigerians should learn how to stick by their rights. Don't shake and don't beg. Eventually they will let you go.

Some years ago, soldiers stopped us for crossing the Cele express road in Lagos. They made us kneel down and people started begging immediately. That gave them power and asked everyone to "bail" themselves or go to their barracks. Everyone paid but me. I told them I ain't got shit to give anyone. If I did something wrong, I should be punished and this is not a police station that I should bail myself out. The 3 of them looked at me long and hard and then let me go.

I have encountered both soldiers and police and I have always read them my rights calmly and I will stand by it. They too dey fear but your fear and ignorance give them power.
