A photo shared online has captured the moment a voter was heading with a pitbull for the governorship and House of Assembly election despite a police ban on the use of dogs and other pets at polling units. Earlier this month, Police High Command banned the use of pets, especially dogs, at the polling units on election day, saying such an act" runs contrary to the provisions of the Electoral Act, 2022, as amended. But a young man out to cast his vote shared a photo of himself posing with a pitbull in the Oshodi area of Lagos state. He also issued a warning to thugs, writing: 'Situation Report!!! Pitbull is on standby at Oshodi. Any thugs that try to misbehave at any polling unit today will have himself to blame.'
