People will change you after collecting your money. My neighbor had asked for a loan. He said he only needed to put it in his account to show the agric loan people he had some working capital. I understand this is a requirement for the agric loan he needed from the bank. He told me he just needed it for about one month. It has been five months now. I am still waiting for him to return my money

Lol, this is idiotic propaganda from ‘The Times.’
Western countries also did the same thing during the Niger Delta militancy. However, the same language wasn’t used.
At least the Chinese aren’t training and funding these militants like the CIA and MOSSAD do across Africa to cause destabilization while stealing resources. They are only paying ransoms to secure the lives of their citizens. So, the onus is on the Nigerian government to protect investors and provide adequate security for them.
Nothing to see here.

Who did they enslave?
And what do you expect them to do if Nigeria can't provide the requisite security for them after signing a contract with them and taking their money?
You're a m0ron, I'm sorry. If they're safe, they won't need to pay ransoms to homegrown militants. China should be the one complaining.

Use eNaira. It's more secure. And your money is held at CBN, so there's no chance of some private company closing down and running away with your cash.
We need more people using it for it to catch on.

Cases of theft will increase with the adoption of these payment solutions, especially among newbies (older people, unlearned, etc.)

I agree with you. To assist older people and newbies with digital payments, we need to educate and support them. Opay can also play a role by offering easy-to-use interfaces, clear instructions, and customer support. It's a joint effort that requires everyone to work together to make digital payments accessible and secure.

Marriage∘Last activity 2 months ago
Many couples going through this could have avoided situations like this if the women were not so dependent on the man before and after marriage. Look, love is not enough in marriage. I keep telling the young ones, do something with your life before saying I do. The once lovey dovey husband go soon change when circumstances of life sets in. And men easily go into depression if they are not meeting up financially. Madam, I do not know your story but tell your siblings to help you start something. You can start by cooking and putting it in take-away plastics and supply market/offices near your house. There's money in food business, start small and grow into it. I pray God use your family to bless you. Stay lifted!

He's a very wicked man .he doesn't like you . If a man like a woman. He will do anything for her. He doesn't want you to have job because he want to control and abuse you. RUN as fast as you can. Kids or no kids shouldn't make you stay in abusive marriage. Please run there's help out there. Good luck.

The eNaira is indeed backed by the Central Bank of Nigeria, giving it security and stability. However, it's important to note that different payment solutions have unique features and benefits, and it's ultimately up to each individual to choose what works best for them.

I have never seen anyone use the eNaira since it was launched.
I've used it to transfer money to friends and family. It worked perfectly every time. And the transaction fees are lower than Interswitch and co. More people need to try it.
We're all already depending on CBN anyway, and there's no point in adding another middleman and the risk of them closing down and disappearing your money. Plus eNaira is our homegrown thing that belongs to the people. There's no profit motive involved like all the other systems. So it won't be used to milk us.
Nigerians need to start backing our local champions so that they can be successful. There are 200 million of us. Any system we adopt en masse will instantly become a significant global player. It could be the one that we own.

You're the first person I've "seen" use the eNaira.
It shouldn't be in the CBNs place to handle such transactions, but then, it'd be the same CBN doing the work of BOA. Overall, I believe the eNaira has been another white elephant project. It was poorly implemented, and there's no benefit when compared to other payment methods
It's not a white elephant. The CBN's job is to issue and manage the currency. It doesn't matter if it's paper or digital, or whatever. They're just using new technology to do the same job. Digital currency is the future, and Nigeria is ahead of most of the world for once. We should be proud.
And it's well implemented. It worked perfectly every time I tried. The app is well-designed and easy to use. And I haven't seen anyone complain about it other than user error issues and some very early teething problems that have long been fixed.
And it has significant advantages. For one, the transaction fees are far lower than Interswitch. And it's safer because there's no for-profit intermediary. Why should we let a private company tax us and take billions out of people's pockets every year? Plus, the small amount that eNaira charges can be used to pay for trains, public services, or whatever.
We all must drop this defeatist, doomsday mentality and start supporting our government when they do something good. If you love Nigeria, this is how you show it.
