Tolerance is one thing; ramming your values and beliefs down people's throats is another. U have no right to force anybody to partake in a parade they do not identify with. Just as prayers were stopped in certain schools because of the diversity of beliefs, LGBT values and rights cannot supersede the values and rights of people outside their community. Where's the freedom of choice the West constantly preaches?

Must everyone be lumped together to celebrate the said pride month, anyway? Why can't different groups celebrate individually? On all fronts, the woman is very well within her rights to object.

The result should USUALLY be. WHAT IS WORTH DOING IS WORTH DOING WELL. YOUR RESULT IS LIKE A GIRL WITH A BEAUTIFUL FACE... YOUR RESULT IS THE FIRST THING TO GET YOU THE ATTENTION AND OPPORTUNITY BEFORE YOUR SKILLS ARE TESTED.

Someone who graduated with 3rd class or pass can be perfect and intelligent, but some people will only allow you to prove yourself if the poor result is good.

My result (graduating with a 2.1) gave me more advantages and made things easier. If I had graduated with a 2.2 or 3rd class, I don't know how things could have gone.

Note:

I'm not saying people would graduate with 2.2, and 3rd class doesn't have things easy or get lucky.

The course.

From personal experience, I am rarely asked about the grades I came out with, and they discuss what they want to engage me for—also, Connection matters. Forget results and course.

My uncle is a mechanical engineer and works at a bank, and I was the one helping him to service his gen.

I spent two years off campus with my uncle. Okay, Handouts and textbooks no dey sha. But I only buy some Handouts, not all. I thank God I studied in Nigeria. I'm in America right now working in a Bank after working in Nigerian banks for years. All my American colleagues have huge students loan they are battling to pay off. If anyone tells you Education is cheap, tell the person he never waka. It is VERY EXPENSIVE. NB. I GRADUATED IN THE YEAR 2000.

Electrical Engineering is something else. I struggled to graduate from it in Nigeria. I left depressed but fought to succeed and now work as a senior developer for a top 10 software company in the world. I still went back to a master's in informatics after establishing my career and graduated with a first-class 🙂

Nigerian lecturers try to frustrate their students, especially in those prime Federal Universities: UNN, Unilag, ABU, I've, etc. Then again, the facilities like good libraries, comfortable hostels, etc., are elsewhere. What they're doing abroad is almost what the private Unis in Nigeria are doing, providing a soft landing for them. I've never seen a 2/2 graduate from a private Uni in Nigeria. All I've seen are 1st Class and 2/1. And these people got between 220-230 in jamb and couldn't secure admission. I'm Federal Unis. In the 80s, people who were sent abroad couldn't get access. Same thing I see happening now in private Unis. Yet

.That his textbook looks like a gold when I had never purchased it then . The textbook was an eye openers in physics for me . I started with physics textbook before other textbooks started coming in for supports , more clarification and simplification. The questions in the textbook were repeated WAEC/SSCE questions. After reading the textbook and understanding clearly how he arrived by calculation at the answers .

Now my turn to solve all the problems behind the textbook I couldn't proceed further after solving 2 or 3 questions. My secondary school teacher then would write out calculation from the handbook and ask you to read up . There was no sound knowledge by passed Mr Ajakaye until I met sweet Messiah,Mr Olowokere , who studies biochemistry or Industrial Chemistry from Ekpoma University unlike my Previous Teacher who might have graduated from Colleague of education.

I really appreciate Mr Olowokere who broke down mechanics ,waves and other aspect of physics for me in secondary school within a short period. I became a student teacher to my mates immediately. Only about 20% questions that were left unsolved in Okeke physics textbook by me. Also most vital person I remember was Mr Tosin outside lesson teacher .
