Don't accept every teaching but study to show yourself approved by God. Study the word of God yourself and hold on to which is truth. God bless!

He is not a Pastor sorry. Several portions in Psalms admonished us to praise God with singing, clapping and dancing. I'm not surprised, heresies everywhere but they that know their God shall be strong and do exploit. Know God for yourself to avoid being misled.

Always reading d Bible upside down! I pity his congregation who are always cheering him ignorantly when he's saying these things. Psalm 47:1 Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.

OP, first, calm down. No need to be disturbed because It's not that deep. Some people here are not willing to admit it but the Bible is not the most exciting read. But there are things you can do to make it easier to manage:

1) Which version of the Bible are you using? King James Version (KJV)? Revised Standard Version (RSV)? The New International Version (NIV)? Some may not think it matters but it does. In my opinion, KJV is very difficult to get through because, although it's a literal translation, it uses outdated English that no one uses in regular conversation, let alone normally reads. The NIV was specifically created to use modern-day English, makes the lessons and stories in the Bible easier to understand, and remains close to the original translation.

2) Try one chapter a day/ a week/ every two weeks instead of multiple in one sitting. It may take longer to get through the Bible in its entirety but doing one chapter a week, I think, keeps you more focused. It's easier to maintain your attention if you know you're only dedicating 30 minutes a week vs 2 hours.

3) Consider buying a bible study guide. There are so many on the market (e.g. 52-week guide, men's guide, women's guide, teen's guide, young children's guide, etc.). These guides were specifically made to help a reader interpret and understand the bible a lot better, and understand the meaning and lessons behind stories they may have otherwise missed. If you have a bible guide with you, it may make the reading more enjoyable and engaging.

4) Journaling. You might want to consider using this method to record your own personal thoughts and feelings about each chapter you read. How you feel about the bible now versus 10 years from now when you see your past journal entries can be eye-opening, especially when we encounter different life experiences and challenges. It makes you more personally invested. If you do the journaling and study guide,

I would recommend reading the bible chapter, journaling, and then reading the guide so you can record your "raw" interpretation and see how close you were to the guide's explanation.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

James 1:5 says that if any of you lacks wisdom, he/she should ask God, and God who gives liberally without restriction or hesitation would grant him wisdom.

That being said, ask God for help and wisdom to read your bible. Ask with your heart and you would get the solution you're looking for.

Also, my man of God, Pastor Father Mbaka has taught us over the years to train and discipline ourselves as Christians. The same way you would discipline yourself with food when you want to lose weight or discipline yourself to stop one bad habit or learn a new habit, apply the same tactics and discipline yourself to read your bible.

As at two years ago, to pray for more than 10 minutes was a chore for me, I would sleep off if prayer is more than 10 minutes, but when life challenges came, I knew no one else could help me except God, my dear, I trained myself to start praying o. I used my alarm to do it. My prayer time was 12am, I would set my alarm for 11:55pm to remind me, set another one for 12:15am Incase I slept off, set another one for 12:30am, Incase of incasity  . The constant ringing of the alarm showed me shege, but it helped train me. Today, I don't struggle to pray anymore, I look forward to my praying time. If I ever miss praying during my prayer time, I am always sad, and feel like I something is missing in my day.

It's all about discipline and training, my dear.

It also happened to me sometime ago, after the days work you're just stress out and you can't cheat nature

Pray or read the bible before sleeping while you lay on your bed so you can avoid blaming the bible for sleeping.

Read the Qu'ran!

It is simply because you have no strong reason why you want to read it, no aim, no research mindset, it is either you just pick up your Bible to fulfill reading of Bible sake nothing else, try having something in mind you really need to learn or know about the Bible.

I've been in that shoe ones when i got no reason to read the Bible it always end up in sluggish and dull ending. There's nothing like demonic force stopping you, you are restricting yourself.

GOD'S Standard from the beginning remains One man one wife.

GOD'S Standard is HE hates Divorce.

Jacob, Solomon , Religion, Society or whoever are not the standard. The Word of GOD is the Standard .

Read Matthew 19: 4-9 to know GOD'S Standard!

And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them Male and Female .

(Not Male and Females or Vice versa)

And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his Wife(Not Wives): and they twain shall be one flesh?

Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?

He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

Anything apart from GOD'S Standard is SIN. It is Fornication, Adultery and Man/ woman Decieving themselves!
